Chart Hits
Ye gods, it has been a great year for techno/house/electro so far, despite all that world recession stuff! Here are some of the records I have been digging lately (or my Top 18). Honourable mentions also to Portable's release on Musik Krause and Ben Klock's 'Before One' (not so sure about the LP though)...
Future Beat Alliance: Dark Passenger (Rush Hour Ltd)
Kenny Larkin: Art of Dance - The Chronicles (Rush Hour)
Redcell: Archive Volume 3 (B12)
Patrice Scott: Far Away (Sistrum)
Katelectro vs Jauzas The Shining: Plug (Mighty Robot)
Djorvin Clain: Unwritten Secrets (Overflow)
Norman Nodge MDR5 (MDR)Peter Van Hoesen: Attribute (Time 2 Express)
Trackleton: Jump (Yore)
Frozen Border: Frozen Border (Frozen Border)
Equalized: 2 (Equalized)
Kvadratklang: Pulsemotel (Deephart & Kasino) Paul Du Lac: Kira (Cx) Levon Vincent: Six Figures (Novel) Omar S: Blown Valvetrane (Sound Signature) Mark Archer: Ring of Gyges (Mutate) Tadeo: Contacto LP (Net 28) Miss Kittin & Hacker: PPPO (Function remix) (Nobody's Bizness)
i'm not sure how i feel about that Trackleton. it sounds nice enough from the samples, but it feels kind of like "look how i can do all the typical deep house styles" record instead of the guy developing his own sound. i'll have to try to listen to the full tracks before i decide.
