Great read. One thought, though: I'm beginning to question whether vinyl only releases will continue to exist. I feel for vinyl collector's who purchased vinyl records from labels like Basic Channel, for example, with the belief they would never be re-released. I, however, don't know if Basic Channel ever made any representations to that effect. Nevertheless, I was pretty disappointed when Equalized was released on Beatport last week since I purchased it from Hardwax assuming it would be a vinyl only release. I find myself at a crossroads because on the one hand I prefer purchasing music digitally (I'm 24, by the way) but on the other I like the exclusivity of vinyl. I love limited edition, stamped, nameless vinyl. There's just something so techno about that!

if any music was made for vinyl, it's Basic Channel.
But I think it's impossible to have vinyl exclusivity. I mean, you could try, but how long before someone rips a copy and posts in online? May as well do it yourself and get paid.
