wow, not sure if the writer should be considered brave for admitting to just finding out about Russ Garbiel last week or should be looked upon as someone writing about a style of music they do not fully understand. "in order to understand, you have to go back..."

i liked the reviewer's honesty, and the review of the music itself.
do we all need to have advanced PhD degrees in the "History of Techno" to be qualified enough to write one's impressions of a release? who made you techno's Dean, Don, and Emperor?

Dear 'Russ', I don't think I'm being smug - just pointing out that for a business (and I would imagine RA is run as such) to say that you have never heard of one of the main producers in a style of music your business is based on writing about is, well, a bit cringy. I don;t think I ever suggested anyone needed to get a degree or PhD - but a little bit of knowledge does go a long way. What do you graduate in yourself? BA in internet abuse?
