Huh? Didn't Freak and Sheath come out in like, 2003?

Brophy

you're right they did. that's why i say in the intro "here's an interview I did with Mark Bell from LFO in 2003.."

Oh, my mistake! Sorry :)

i love that a guy who has produced pop records can casually mention Relief records in conversation. the bjork records that he produced are some of the best examples of techno going mainstream without sacrificing anything (along with the radiohead records of course).

“When she left The Sugarbabes she asked me to work on her ‘Debut’ album"

Is that his joke or a typo? Pretty funny either way.

Ohh. Great interview. Cant wait for some more stuff of him. Cant get enough of LFO. Sheth is so damm raw and gritty i could get a tinker do my drive with it.

@ yoko: Is that his joke or a typo? Pretty funny either way - what do you mean? it says sugarcubes...

@pipecock: bell is a very talented producer. as a lifelong fall obsessive, I'm not so sure about radiohead

"I'm not so sure about radiohead"

i just remembered how i first heard Kid A by radiohead. i had already owned OK Computer for years and i was down with it, but i wasnt as hyped for it as some people were. anyway, around early november '00 dan bell and shake played in pittsburgh (a hell of a show!) and shake was killing it. he dropped this insane jam that was just so ridiculous. everyone rushed up to find out what it was: "idiotheque"! man, that shit sold out citywide on vinyl that next day just from heads who heard it there running out to get it. and shake has been crushing it with that track since then, it murders it every time. and the rest of that album is just so great too, i dont know what to say!
